COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN

In the interest of our staff and the diverse communities we work with, our in person programs have been designed with care to prioritize the safety and well being of all participants. These policies and practices are consistant with what we see with our partner organizations and will be amended to suit the changing pandemic landscape.

  • At this time, our in person programs are open to double-vaccinated people only. If you can not be vaccinated for medical reasons, we ask that you complete a daily negative COVID test prior to each session. We recognize that decisions around vaccines can be complex and very personal; we have settled on this policy in the interest of creating safety for the greatest number of participants.
  • Before each session, participants are asked to complete the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool and not attend that day if they have any of the following symptoms:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Sore throat
    • Loss of sense of smell or taste
    • Headache
    • Extreme fatigue or tiredness
    • Diarrhea
    • Loss of appetite
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Body aches
  • We will practice social distancing at all times, except when proximity is unavoidable during training and shooting.
  • KN95 masks are to be worn at all times while on campus and on set. We hope that you will bring your own, but will also have masks and face shields will be available. The exception is for actors and film subjects, who may remove their masks specifically when the camera is recording. These individuals will need to do a rapid test in the morning before entering the program.
  • We will practice frequent disinfecting/sanitation of hands and production gear.
  • In order to avoid sharing food, participants are asked to provide their own lunches, snacks, and drinks.
