An online community film program for
Cambridge Bay, Kugluktuk, Gjoa Haven & Ulukhaktok

This online film program will bring youth together to learn film making skills and produce short films about the observations, experiences, and lessons learned of older community members being on the land.

Youth will be introduced to principles of film making, and practice media production skills by shooting and editing an original short video about their older partner. This could be an Aunt or Uncle, friend, or grand parent. No film making experience is necessary to participate!

You will need access to a smartphone or a video camera, and a laptop, tablet/iPad or computer in order to participate. All participants will be provided with a licence for Adobe Rush for editing the film.

Youth participants and their older partners will each receive $500 honorariums upon completion of the program. Youth from Cambridge Bay will be able to access the internet from the Hamlet office for completing the program.

The program will begin at the end of October and we will build the schedule based on your answers below. Sign up now!
