MAPLE RIDGE VOICES PROJECT
The Voices project was a two year Child and Youth Mental Health pilot project, that ran from Fall of 2005 to Spring of 2007.
Maple Ridge was one of 5 pilot sites that took on the project of engaging with youth to enable them to strengthen their voices in terms of accessing Mental Health Services in helpful ways and to experience peer support.
The youth group continues to meet even though the project is now over. The hope is to establish an ongoing self-help group which will be nurtured by Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services agency staff in the meantime.
